Es artista visual  y junto con Carmen Huízar lleva el proyecto curatorial nohacernada.org.  

 

Considera importante el análisis de textos, como motivo y materia para su resolución artística. Reflexiona sobre la negación como declaración y el espacio editorial como contenedor y dispositivo de exhibición.

 

Tiene un MFA por el Institute Kunst Gender Natur, HGK, Basel. Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas en Berlín (AOA;87,2024), Basel (Kunshaus Baselland, 2024) (HEK, Austellungsraum Klingental; 2023), St. Gallen (StylingPoint Projects, 2024) en la Ciudad de México (ESPAC, 2019; Nixon, 2018; ExTeresa Arte Actual, 2017; Pandeo Df, 2015) y en Guatemala (Riña 2018). En 2019, presentó su exposición individual "Salvo error u omisión" en la Galería L.A. (CDMX), y en 2018, "Hay muchos trucos para decir que no" en la Galería Progreso (CDMX). Flores Arias fue parte de la residencia artística Freiraum (ZH) en 2023. Además, fue seleccionada para participar en la 4ta Exhibición de Libros de Artista en el Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (CDMX).

Daniela Flores Arias (b.1994, Mexico City)

She is an artist and co-founder of the curatorial project nohacernada.org with Carmen Huizar. 

 

In her artistic practice, she employs text both as a motif and a medium to address her creative inquiries. Flores Arias embraces negation as a significant statement and investigates the use of the editorial space as both a container and an exhibition device.

 

Currently based in Basel, Switzerland, she has a  MFA by The Institute Kunst Gender Natur, HGK, Basel. She has collaborated in several collective exhibitions. In Berlin (AOA;87,2024), Basel (Kunshaus Baselland, 2024) (HEK, Austellungsraum Klingental; 2023), St. Gallen (StylingPoint Projects, 2024); In Mexico City (ESPAC, 2019) (Nixon, 2018) (Ex Teresa Arte Actual, 2017) and Guatemala (Riña 2018). In 2019 she presented her solo exhibition: Salvo error u omisión at Galería L.A. (CDMX) and in 2018 There are so many tricks to say no, in Galería Progreso (CDMX). Selected to participate in the 4th Exhibition of Artist Books at the University Museum of Contemporary Art. Flores Arias was part of the artist residency program Freiraum (ZH) in 2023.
